St. Agatha for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It's finally October, and yes that means fall weather... but it also means that it's Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You're hard-pressed not to know someone with breast cancer after all this disease does affect 1 in 8 women in the United States. In observation of this call to the attention, we have decided to launch our St. Agatha medal. St. Agatha is a prominent figure for people around the world who suffer from this disease. Her life as a consecrated virgin was filled with imprisonment, sexual assault, and torture. One method to punish her for her denial of sexual advances from a male diplomate involved the removal of her breasts. She also is meant to provide comfort and healing to individuals plagued with incidents of rape and sexual assault. The team at Brother Wolf took quite a bit time to find the perfect St. Agatha medal that would not only be attractive to our clientele but one that would do justice to her life’s mission to women around the world.
